An Act to declare the Sovereign Title and Dignity of His Majesty King ob2035; to provide for the Civil List and maintenance of the Royal Household; to recognise the Lordship of Mann; and for connected purposes.

Part IThe Crown and Succession

1 Style and Titles of the Sovereign

(1)The Imperial Crown of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of all His Majesty’s other realms and territories, is hereby declared to reside in His Majesty King OB2035, His Heirs and Successors according to law.

(2)The royal style and titles shall be: ob2035, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of His other Realms and Territories King, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.

(3)Nothing in this Act shall prejudice the ancient title and prerogative of the Sovereign as Lord of Mann, which dignity is declared to be indivisible from the Crown.

2 Succession to the Crown

(1)The succession to the Crown shall continue vested in the line of succession as established by the Act of Settlement.

(2)Every person who succeeds to the Crown shall take and subscribe the statutory coronation oath and make the statutory accession declaration before Parliament assembled.

Part IIThe Civil List and Financial Support

3 Annual Provision for the Sovereign

(1)There shall be paid out of the Consolidated Fund for the honour and dignity of the Crown an annual sum of £475.

(2)The annual sum provided under subsection (1) shall be applied as follows:

(a)for His Majesty’s Privy Purse, £110;

(b)for salaries and retired allowances of His Majesty’s Household, £185;

(c)for expenses of His Majesty’s Household and royal palaces, £120;

(d)for royal alms and gracious bounties, £60.

4 Power to direct economies

The Lords Commissioners of the Treasury may, in consultation with the Keeper of the Privy Purse, direct that any surplus in one class of expenditure under section 3 may be applied to meet an insufficiency in another class.

5 Citation

This Act may be cited as the Succession, Sovereign Title and Civil List Act.
