Part IRoad Closing Orders

1 Order for Road Closures

(1)The Isle of Man Highway and Transport Board may make orders closing any public highway for the purpose of holding motor vehicle or motor cycle races.

(2)Notice of any closing order shall be published in at least two local newspapers circulating in the Island not less than fourteen days prior to the closure.

Part IICourse Regulation and Offences

2 Encroachment on Closed Roads

(1)During any period in which a road is closed by order under this Act, no person shall enter or cross the closed course without a pass issued by the race organisers.

(2)Any person who contravenes this section shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £10.

3 Removal of Vehicles

The police or authorised race marshals may remove any unattended vehicle found on a closed course at the expense of the owner.

4 Citation

This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Highway and Motor Races Act.
