An Act to regulate the manufacture, sale, storage, and carriage of explosive substances; to control the acquisition and possession of firearms; and for connected purposes.

Part IGunpowder and Explosives
1 Manufacture and Storage
(1)Gunpowder and blasting explosive substances shall not be manufactured except at an authorised factory lawfully licensed under this Act.
(2)No person shall store gunpowder exceeding ten pounds in weight on private premises without an approved explosive store licence.
Part IIFirearms Control
2 Firearm Certificates
(1)No person shall purchase, acquire, or possess any firearm or ammunition unless he holds a firearm certificate granted by the Chief Constable of the area.
(2)A fee of five shillings (5s.) shall be payable upon the initial grant of a firearm certificate.
3 Unlawful Possession
Any person who possesses a firearm without holding a valid certificate shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £50 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months.
