Part IStandard Bread Weights
1 Weight of Loaves
(1)No person shall sell or have in his possession for sale any loaf of bread unless its net weight is fourteen ounces or a multiple of fourteen ounces.
(2)Subsection (1) shall not apply to fancy loaves, rolls, or baps having a net weight of less than ten ounces.
2 Deficient Weight
If any inspector of weights and measures finds on examination that any loaf offered for sale is of deficient weight, the baker or seller shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £5.
Part IIPre-Packed Foodstuffs
3 Marking of Net Quantity
No person shall sell any pre-packed tea, sugar, flour, or potatoes unless the container bears a clear statement of the net imperial weight contained therein.

This Act may be cited as the Sale of Bread and Provisions Act.
