Part ILicensing Courts and Hours

1 Licensing Districts and Courts

Licensing courts consisting of the High Bailiff and elected justices shall meet annually in each district to hear and determine applications for public-house licences.

2 Permitted Hours

No intoxicating liquor shall be sold or consumed on licensed premises on weekdays except between the hours of ten o'clock in the morning and eleven o'clock in the evening.

Part IIBrewery Regulation

3 Pure Beer Standard

All ale and beer brewed for public sale in the Island shall be prepared exclusively from pure malt, hops, yeast, and water; and any brewer who introduces prohibited chemical adulterants shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £100.

4 Citation

This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Licensing Act.
