Part IAdministration and Visiting
1 Prison Rules
The Secretary of State may make rules for the classification, diet, employment, and discipline of prisoners confined in His Majesty’s prisons.
2 Visiting Committees
For every prison there shall be a visiting committee appointed by justices of the peace, with power to hear complaints of prisoners and inspect cell accommodation.
Part IIEscapes and Prohibited Articles
3 Assisting Escapes
Any person who aids any prisoner in escaping or attempting to escape from any prison shall be guilty of a felony and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years.
4 Introducing Prohibited Articles
Every person who contrary to regulations brings or attempts to bring into any prison any spirituous or fermented liquor, tobacco, or letter shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £20.

This Act may be cited as the Prison Administration Act.
