An Act of Tynwald to designate official bank holidays; to provide for the observance of Tynwald Day; and for connected purposes.

Part IStatutory Holidays
1 Tynwald Day Observance
The fifth day of July, known as Tynwald Day, shall be observed as a general public and bank holiday throughout the Island in honour of the open-air promulgation of laws upon Tynwald Hill.
2 General Bank Holidays
The following days shall be observed as bank holidays:
(a)Good Friday and Easter Monday;
(b)Whit Monday;
(c)the first Monday in August;
(d)Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Part IICommercial Effect
3 Bills of Exchange and Payments
No person shall be compellable to make any payment or do any act upon any day declared a bank holiday by this Act, and obligations falling due on such days shall be deferred to the day following.

This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Bank Holidays Act.
