1 Appointment of Registrars

The Registrar General shall appoint registrars of births, marriages, and deaths for the districts of Douglas, Ramsey, Peel, and Castletown.

2 Registration of Births

The father or mother of every child born in the Island shall, within forty-two days next after the birth, give information to the registrar of the district.

Part IICertified Copies and Fees

3 Fees for Certificates

(1)The fee for a search of the register shall be one shilling and sixpence (1s. 6d.).

(2)The fee for a certified extract of any entry shall be two shillings and sevenpence (2s. 7d.).

This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Civil Registration Act.
