Part IMine Fencing and Shafts
1 Fencing of Abandoned Shafts
The owner of every abandoned lead, zinc, or copper mine shaft shall securely fence the top thereof with stone masonry or iron gratings to prevent cattle or persons falling therein.
2 Failure to Fence
Any person who neglects to fence an open shaft after receiving notice from the Government Engineer shall be liable to a fine not exceeding £20.
Part IIRoyalty Reservation
3 Mineral Dues
A royalty of five per centum of the gross market value of all lead ore or slate raised within the Island shall be paid into the General Revenue of the Isle of Man.

This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Mines and Quarries Act.
