Part IOperation of Posts

1 Conveyance of Mails

The conveyance and delivery of inland and cross-channel mails within and from the Island shall be performed under statutory arrangement between the Lieutenant Governor and the Postmaster General.

2 Postage Charges

The rates of postage payable on letters, postcards, and packets posted within the Isle of Man for delivery therein or in the United Kingdom shall be equal to the standard inland postal tariffs.

Part IIProtection of Mails

3 Obstruction of Mails

Any person who wilfully stops, delays, or obstructs any mail van, horse, or postman carrying His Majesty’s mails shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding £20.

4 Citation

This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Postal Services Act.
