An Act to regulate the sale and distribution of poisons and dangerous drugs; to restrict the sale of arsenic and strychnine; and for connected purposes.

Part IRestriction on Sale of Poisons
1 Authorised Sellers
(1)It shall not be lawful for any person to sell any poison included in the statutory Poisons List unless he is an authorised registered pharmaceutical chemist.
(2)Every container in which any poison is sold shall be labelled with the name of the substance, the word "Poison" clearly printed in red, and the name and address of the seller.
2 Register of Sales
No person shall sell any Scheduled poison to any person unknown to the seller unless introduced by some person known to the seller, and the purchaser shall sign the Poisons Register prior to delivery.
Part IIPenalties
3 Unlawful Dealing in Poisons
Any person who acts in contravention of this Act shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £50.

4 Citation
This Act may be cited as the Pharmacy and Poisons Act.
