Part ICompulsory Acquisition

1 Sanction of Tynwald Required

No department, board, or municipal commission shall compulsorily take any private real estate or easement in the Island without a special resolution of Tynwald.

Part IIArbitration and Compensation

2 Determination of Value

(1)Where land is acquired by resolution of Tynwald, the purchase money and compensation shall, in default of agreement, be determined by an official arbitrator appointed by the First Deemster.

(2)No allowance shall be made on account of the acquisition being compulsory beyond open market valuation.
