Part IFirearms Control

1 Firearm Certificates

(1)No person shall purchase, hold, or carry any firearm or ammunition in the Island without a certificate granted by the Chief Constable of the Isle of Man Constabulary.

(2)The fee for the grant of a firearm certificate shall be five shillings (5s.).

2 Carrying Weapons Without Authority

Any person who carries a firearm without holding a valid certificate shall be liable on summary conviction before a High Bailiff to a fine not exceeding £20.

Part IIExplosives and Gunpowder

3 Storage for Quarrying

All blasting powder and dynamite kept for quarrying or public works shall be stored in an approved detached stone magazine licensed by the Local Government Board.

4 Citation

This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Firearms and Explosives Act.
