An Act of Tynwald to establish the Executive Council of the Isle of Man; to define ministerial advisory functions; to coordinate Boards of Tynwald; and for connected purposes.

Part IThe Executive Council
1 Constitution of the Executive Council
(1)There shall be an Executive Council to advise the Lieutenant Governor on all matters of policy and governance in the Island.
(2)The Executive Council shall consist of:
(a)two members of the Legislative Council appointed by that body;
(b)five members of the House of Keys elected by the Keys;
(c)a Chairman chosen from among their members.
2 Collective Advice to the Governor
The Lieutenant Governor shall consult the Executive Council on the preparation of the Island’s annual budget, financial estimates, and any proposed introduction of government legislation into Tynwald.
Part IIThe Boards of Tynwald
3 Ministerial Boards
The executive administration of the Island shall be conducted by statutory Boards of Tynwald, including the Isle of Man Highway and Transport Board, the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Local Government Board, and the Harbour Board.

4 Citation
This Act may be cited as the Isle of Man Executive Council Act.
