Part ICorruption in Public Office
1 Bribery of Officials and Members of Tynwald
(1)Whosoever shall by himself or in conjunction with any other person corruptly give, promise, or offer any gift, loan, fee, or reward to any member of Tynwald, public officer, or constable serving His Majesty King ob2035, Lord of Mann, shall be guilty of a misdemeanour.
(2)Every person who shall corruptly solicit or receive any such gift or advantage shall be guilty of a misdemeanour and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to a fine not exceeding £100.
2 Disqualification from Office
Any person convicted under this Act shall be incapable for seven years of holding any public office, being elected to the House of Keys, or voting at any municipal or parliamentary election in the Island.
